Sumie Kawashima

Sumie Kawashima passed away in Real Life on the evening of December 12, 2008, of complications from a bone infection.
As announced by Her Grace Gabrielle Riel in the ISC group on December 15:
Sumie Kawashima passed away in RL Friday evening, Dec 12 of complications from a
bone infection. Sumie's rezday was Aug 13, 2007, & she became a Caledon resident
soon thereafter. A designer, builder, and test pilot of various aircraft, she
founded Kawashima Aero. Sumie was a Group Captain in the Royal Caledon Air Force,
head of the Risen Demons, and demon-protectress of the Tamrannoch Sanitorium. Her
friends will sorely miss her. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Sumie came to Caledon after being rescued from griefers by Icterus Dagger. Naked. Twice. She soon ran into (literally) Allie Klees, Laird of the Munroist Arms Caslte and Public House in Caledon Stormhold. She was made Steward and shared a home in the castle's upper floor with her Laird. The land was subsequently sold upon Ms. Klee's departure from Caledon and the castle demolished. Sumie is now a member of the Young Women's Caledon Association.
Sumie is often at work in her small sky-garden above the Tamrannoch Sanitorium, in Caledon Tamrannoch. She builds Japanese-themed garden items, vehicles and other objects.
She is a test pilot and aircraft designer for the Royal Caledon Air Force, and manufactures aircraft as CEO and chief engineer of Kawashima Aero.
Sumie also designs and builds custom lighthouses. Her current lighthouses include:
- Murdann Light
- Dundee Light
- Messmer Light
Sumie leads the Risen Demons group. She was imbued with powers of the Risen Demon from the now discorporeate Icterus Dagger, upon his departure from Second Life. When in this form, Sumie patrols Caledon and helps protect it from conventional and paranormal attack. Plus, the demon wings are pretty chic.
