"Loch Avie's Own"

The First Caledon Lancers came into being in the general wake of the destruction of the older Caledon Militia after the "Mess in Primverness". The Lancers were the creation primarily of Colonel Exrex Somme (Regimental Colonel) and Lt. Colonel Hotspur O'Toole (Executive Officer). Somme and O'Toole, being history buffs, wanted a "showy" regiment for parades and social activities, and thus the Lancers were born. Their uniforms are based heavily on the Lancers of Berg, a Napoleonic era Lancer Regiment, only done in Caledon National Colours and with a "Caledon Bunneh" symbol on the helmet brim. Miss Virrginia Tombola created the Lancer uniform.

The Lancers' Patron is the Duchess of Loch Avie, Miss Eva Bellambi, whom they honor by adding the sobriquet "Loch Avie's Own" after their title. The Duchess will ride along in reviews and parades, in a slightly more feminized version of the basic uniform. The Lancers are an active military unit and are primarily engaged in social activities at present.
